Backstage at the Richie Rich Fashion Show

Richie Rich went all out with his new solo line. When I went backstage, I entered another world. A world full of glamour, sugar, and spice and I loved it. There were many people involved in the fabulous Richie Rich show. So let get down to business!

Makeup
M.A.C cosmetics did a great job on the makeup. The key makeup artist, Kabuki, came up with a wonderful look. Kabuki describes the look as a transition from Norma Jean to Marilyn Monroe with a punk twist. Think uptown girl meets downtown girl and they had a fabulous makeup party.

Lets talk about Lips. Key Makeup Artist - Kabuki used the M.A.C’s Dazzle Glass lipglass on the lip. The best thing about Dazzleglass is the shine. The shimmering lip-gloss uses large particle pearls in order to give a radiate shine to any lip. Sadly, Dazzleglass was discontinued but there is an alternative. Check out Lusterglass by M.A.C! LusterGlass has the same effect as Dazzleglass. Hopefully Dazzleglass will resurface very soon!

There are many different products where used to get the Richie Rich look. Here is a list along with a few tips:

  • Studio Sculpt Foundation- This is a great foundation that is longwearing and water-resistance.
  • Dazzleglass – great lip glass

  • Powerpoint eye pencil

  • White frost eye shadow

  • Plush Lash Mascara

  • Blacktrack Fluidline

  • Grand Duos Collection (Love rock and Moon river)- This Limited Collection of Mineralized Blush Duos will launch on March 12, 2009.

  • Reflects Rust Glitter

  • #36 eye lashes- if you want a more natural looking lash than check #21 and #34

I also have the list of brushes used to achieve those great eyes at the show. Make sure you buy the brush cleaner by M.A.C!

  • 219- eye pencil brush
  • 217- eye blending brush
  • 209- eyeliner brush
  • 239- eye shader brush

Legendary hair stylist Jeanie Syfu from TRESemme describes the hair version as Norman Jean to Marilyn with a punk rock twist. The first look was a Pompadour Mohawk with cornrows. Yes you read correctly, cornrows! It was fabulous. To achieve this look Jeanie Syfu to use TRESemme 24 hour body finishing spray for a great hold without the sticky film. You can pick up this and other TRESemme items at your local drugstore or supermarket.

Finally, CND did a great on the nails. Each model had Swarovski crystal embedded on the artificial nail. The colors used for the nails were Hot Pop Pink and Wildfire. These colors are fun and flirty. The best thing about CND is that their nail polish can be found Sally Beauty supply store. Other locations can be found at http://www.creativenaildesign.com
