The Golden Globes still remains a trending topic and while the fashion’s were the center of the red carpet the beauty looks made the first impression. Check out the beauty scoop on Salma Hayek’s bold red lips and Katharine McPhee sultry style.
NARS worked with celebrity makeup artists Jeannia Robinette and Jake Bailey to create the red carpet makeup looks for Salma Hayek and Katharine McPhee at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.
Salma Hayek
Beauty Inspiration: "Salma is such a knockout! Her dress was midnight blue - very sophisticated and over-the-top glamour, so we wanted to play off the dress, but keep things hip and modern with fresh makeup. The eyes are very luminescent - we lightened them up with coppers and silvery peach, then gave them depth with eggplant and plum. With a bright lip, the look was trendy, young, and modern."-Makeup artist: Jeannia Robinette

KATHERINE MCPHEE
Beauty Inspiration: "Katharine's dress looks like it belongs in a Helmut Newton photograph, so I thought the makeup should be strong and sultry...the kind of eye makeup that would be in one of those photographs. It's an eye look for sure - a smoky eye with a beautiful nude skin palette."-Makeup Artist: Jake Bailey

Salma ages very nicely...both ladies look divine.
I love Salma Hayek, she has real natural beauty. She looks fabulous in this dress. And I love that she kept her hair natural and flowy instead of doing a formal updo.
