GlitterBuzzStyle Women's Issues:Q & A

Questions from our Fabulous Readers

Gail 34 NYC asked:
Any good stores for women size 12+. I love reading the articles on the fashion but I'm dying to find clothes to fit my size. You listed some early summer any new places for Fall? And I'm thinking about getting surgery because I hate the fat I'm so annoyed that I let this happen to me any good doctors in new York?

Gail, being a size 12 or 14 is every bit as beautiful as a size 6 and there are plenty of men (and women) who prefer a little extra rather than what the media projects on their bony runway models. Not all women are meant to be skinny, and a woman with curves is sultry, soft and feminine. A quick fix like plastic surgery is not the answer. If you want to feel good about yourself by being healthy, join a gym (I personally like Crunch, Bali's, and NY Fitness) and start working out. Focus on how hard you can push yourself, set up distance goals or time goals, and try to outdo yourself. Trust me, in addition to losing weight, you'll start to feel a rush from accomplishing self-set goals. Healthy is what is attractive, not being a size 2. Don't let the false images of beauty set by the media determine your feelings of self-worth because the real truth is, NO one measures up to that.

Beniaa,53 asked:
I hate that I am old!! I can't stand saying my age because I want to hear a lower number. I know I should feel good about myself blah blah! I find it that everytime someone asks me I crinch! Why do you need to know all of that! At a certain age people should stop asking because I have grey hair so I know you know I'm over 50! How can I feel good about my age?

Beniaa, you are beautiful BECAUSE you are 53. You have experienced life and love and probably some loss, and that gray in your hair is an indication of wisdom and understanding way beyond what a woman has at 24. There is so much beauty in an older woman that shines from within to her outside. Look in that mirror and embrace your years, they are what have made you who you are; they have graced you with a lifetime of knowledge and made you a strong, beautiful individual and woman. If you feel that you would like to change your appearance, make little changes like going to a hair salon and getting a color job for the gray hair (even though I think gray hair is beautiful too) or get some jewelry that shows off your style (I have always loved dangly earrings and braclets on older women)Get a manicure and a pedicure and some pretty toe rings and wear open toe shoes to show off those pretty toes. Next time someone asks your age, don't feel ashamed to say it, look them square in the eye with confidence and tell them, I'm 53, and I look damn good, too. When you have confidence, your beauty is undeniable at any age.

I have decided to leave college in my Junior year because I recently was signed to an underground record label. My parents are furious since I'm not going to become a lawyer like I had planned. Music is my dream and I really want to do this for me. Am I making the right choice or should I finished and try music after I'm done??? Love this site and the women's issues section keep it up ladies!!!

I'm in a relationship with a guy but Im also curious about being with other women. I have kissed girls and enjoyed it but I would never want to sleep with one. What do you think about this? I really like men but also enjoy kissing a woman, is this weird??

Rebecca go to school!!!!

Online dating isn't good too many liars and crazy people online. You do better going to a nightclub!
