H&M's Comme des Garcons collection made its debut at the new store H&M store in Harajuku on Saturday. More than 2,000 eager shoppers were there, some waiting since last Wednesday, in a line that snaked back round Omotesando Ave all the way to a nearby park, just in order to secure first dibs on the collection. The collection includes many pieces including jackets and skirts which play with deconstruction, while another features classic Comme des Garçons boiled wool and gabardine. The collection also includes the perfect trench coat, beautifully cut shirts and jersey pieces adorned with signature Comme des Garçons’ polka dots. Polka dot weekend bags, slip-on and lace-up canvas shoes and an updated version of Comme des Garcons’ celebrated wallets, designed especially for H&M. Many have raised eyebrows at the prices, because they are not prices you would expect from H&M. H&M is one of my favorite stores and I'm so glad they are branching out, they are big everyone in the US.

For example the dress in the middle cost $349/£199. But when you look at the construction and consider the designer, it is reasonable.

While we all have to wait for the launch on November, 13. Katie Holmes has already been spotted wearing pieces from the collection, including a CdG black and white polka dot long sleeve tee ($24.90), cardigan ($69.90) and scarf ($59.90).
